David J. Seidman, M.D.

Emeritus

Following an ophthalmology residency and pediatric ophthalmology fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital, Dr. Seidman began practice in Northern Virginia in 1987. He has authored book chapters and original scientific articles in the field of pediatric ophthalmology.

Dr. Seidman developed the current ophthalmology program for the neonatal intensive care unit at Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children. His areas of interest include amblyopia (lazy eye) and strabismus, neonatal ophthalmology and ROP, blocked tear ducts, and congenital ocular abnormalities. After 36 years of practice, Dr. Seidman officially retired from office-based care. He continues to provide ophthalmic care for premature babies in our local hospital inpatient units.
