Patrick A. Kaszubski, M.D.

Dr. Patrick Kaszubski is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma, cataract, and anterior segment surgery. His practice specializes in the medical, laser, and surgical treatment of glaucoma, including micro-invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS). In addition, Dr. Kaszubski performs routine and complex cataract surgeries, and evaluates and treats anterior segment disease.

Dr. Kaszubski earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Haverford College. There, he took a semester to study at King’s College London, focusing on health policy. Prior to beginning medical school, he served as a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He went on to receive his medical degree from New York University, where he also completed a master’s of science in clinical investigation and was a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Fellow. He has authored papers on imaging technology in ophthalmology, among other topics. Dr. Kaszubski graduated from the ophthalmology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. From there, he completed additional training as a fellow in glaucoma and advanced anterior segment surgery at the University of Toronto with Dr. Ike Ahmed, a world-renowned leader in complex glaucoma and anterior segment surgery and research.

A native of the DC area, Dr. Kaszubski enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, and exploring Northern Virginia’s thriving culinary scene.

After 19 years of providing exceptional eye care to our community, Dr. Ellis will be retiring at the end of July 2026.
