John P. Martin, M.D.

Dr. John P. Martin is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist. He has been in practice since 1999 as a comprehensive ophthalmologist and specializes in cataract surgery. After receiving his bachelor of arts in biology with honors at The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts he attended Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons where he received his medical degree in 1995.

He completed his Medical internship at Georgetown University’s Fairfax Hospital transitional program.  He received his ophthalmology training at Georgetown University, where he was chief resident.  Upon completion of his training in 1999, he joined NVOA.  He received his board certification in 1999 and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.

After 19 years of providing exceptional eye care to our community, Dr. Ellis will be retiring at the end of July 2026.

We are incredibly grateful for his dedication, compassion, and commitment to his patients throughout his career. His expertise and kindness have made a lasting impact on countless individuals and families.
