Christina A. Bruno, M.D.

Dr. Bruno is a board-certified ophthalmologist and completed her training in 2001.  After attending medical school at The Pennsylvania State University, she completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Eye and Ear Institute, followed by subspecialty training in glaucoma at the University of Iowa. She joined Northern Virginia Ophthalmology Associates in May of 2007 after experience serving for 5½ years as an Assistant Professor and faculty ophthalmologist at the University of Michigan, consistently rated in the top ten hospitals for adult ophthalmology by U.S. News and World Report.  

Dr. Bruno is a member of the American Glaucoma Society, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Northern Virginia Academy of Ophthalmology, and the Medical Society of Northern Virginia.  She has delivered numerous lectures and presentations at the national, regional, and local levels and has authored several original scientific articles.  She is seeing patients for comprehensive eye care, cataracts, and glaucoma.

In her spare time, she enjoys hiking in the beautiful Virginia mountains, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

After 19 years of providing exceptional eye care to our community, Dr. Ellis will be retiring at the end of July 2026.

We are incredibly grateful for his dedication, compassion, and commitment to his patients throughout his career. His expertise and kindness have made a lasting impact on countless individuals and families.
