PRACTICE NEWS & UPDATES
TO OUR PATIENTS WITH CareFirst INSURANCE:
WHAT'S NEW AT NVOA:
As of December 5, 2023 we are out-of-network with CareFirst Blue Cross and Blue Shield of D.C. and Blue Choice, and other products administered by CareFirst.
We remain in-network with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of
Virginia. Patients with CareFirst Preferred PPO and Blue Cross Blue Shield FEP may continue to receive in-network care with us by scheduling an appointment at our Fairfax office, which will be processed through Anthem.
Patients with Medicare Part B Primary can continue to receive in-
network care with us. If you have CareFirst Preferred PPO or FEP Standard as a secondary, we will continue to file your claims as previously.
If you would like to schedule an out-of-network visit or surgery with
us, we will provide a Good Faith Estimate of the cost of services
anticipated. Payment will be due at time of service. We will provide an
itemized statement.

NVOA Physician Retirements:
Dr. David Seidman and Dr. Amy Jeffery have recently retired from the practice of ophthalmology at Northern Virginia Ophthalmology Associates, P.C. We are very grateful for the outstanding care they have provided to your patients and we thank them for their many years of dedicated service to our patients. We celebrate and honor their legacy of hard work and commitment to NVOA. They will be missed.
